BFA, DTATI, Registered Psychotherapist
Mollia May Kennedy is an Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist practicing in Barrie, Ontario.
"What first inspired me to become an art therapist was in witnessing the power of art in supporting my own mental health journey. I realised that I could express and work through a lot of concerns that were weighing on me. Now, I am a fully certified art therapist and aspire to support others through the unique benefits of art therapy."

Therapeutic Approach
Walking Alongside You in this Journey
Through my experience as an art therapist, I have found the best way to engage in therapy is through curiousity and collaboration. My personal therapeutic approach integrates humanistic, anti-oppressive, and mindfulness-based art therapy. I have specialized expertise working with children, adolescents, and families, specifically in supporting neurodigent individuals, mental or physical disabilities, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, living with a terminal illness, and pain or stress management.

Acknowledgment
Recognizing Indigenous People, Lands, & Cultures
The suffering of the many missing, murdered, and mistreated Indigenous identities and communities must be recognized in relation to our inherited privileges. The traditional territory of many generations of First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities - I call this beautiful land home. Although I may call this my home, I respect and honour the many lives, cultures, and growing beings that share this home too.
As part of my efforts towards reconciliation, I am dedicated to continue educating myself, advocating for the rights and diginity of Indigenous communities, supporting the arts, lives, and cultures of Indigenous folk, and reflecting on the depth of my inherited privileges in an attempt to reconcile my relationship with others and this land.
